An Unforgettable Underwater Adventure – Snorkel with Australian Fur Seals & Weedy Seadragons
Revel in the stunning views of the Mornington Peninsula coastline before enjoying the dip of a lifetime! This 2-hour experience combines two incredible wildlife encounters—swimming with playful Australian Fur Seals and snorkelling above kelp gardens in search of the elusive Weedy Seadragon, Victoria’s marine emblem.
We begin in the sheltered shallow waters of Port Phillip Bay at Chinaman’s Hat, a purpose-built platform where over 100 resident seals bask in the sun. Surrounding the boat are friendly, curious, and inquisitive juvenile seals, eager to swim and dive with you. You may even spot giant Smooth Rays gliding along the sandy seabed beneath.
Next, the adventure continues as we head to a second snorkelling location—home to the graceful Weedy Seadragon. Floating peacefully above swaying kelp forests, you’ll have the chance to observe these rare, camouflaged creatures gently drifting through their natural habitat.
There’s so much incredible marine life to discover, making this one of the most immersive wildlife tours in Port Phillip Bay.

For guests who cannot swim and do not have water and swimming confidence this activity is not suitable for you. If you have limited swimming ability or travelling with young children and would like additional assistance in the water, you can book a private snorkel guide during the booking process.
